In particular, this bidet seat comes with a self-clean knob to make the bathroom experience that much more convenient. Let’s look closer at 5 of the top features that make this bidet seat one of the best available.
Bidet Seat vs. Normal Seat
Bidet seats are a whole new world compared to normal toilet seats. Bidet seats also come with a range of features, which does affect their price. For example, most bidet seats will come with self-cleaning nozzles, automatic open/close lids, nightlights, and other comfort features. Also, most bidets are remote-controlled, which allows for much easier use and can even allow you to save specific toilet settings for each time you use the seat. You can even set the seat temperature for some seats, which is especially beneficial during cold periods.
Therefore, as you can see, bidet seats offer a lot of comfort features compared to a normal toilet seat. While some normal seats come with features like a slow-close lid, you won’t find many that have the same automated features as a bidet seat. However, it’s important to note that bidet seats are often more difficult to install than a normal seat, and they also require electricity. However, once you’ve made it past the initial effort, bidet seats offer a much more hygienic and pleasant experience compared to normal toilet seats.
Hibbent Bidet Seat – Unique Features
Below we list four important features plus an installation guide for the Hibbent bidet seat.

Key Features
- Toilet Dimensions (sourced from manual): 19.5″ x 14.3″ x 3.3″
- Bowl Shape: Round or Elongated
- Style: One-Piece
- Soft Closing: Yes
Soft Closing Lid
One of the best features for a toilet seat is a soft closing lid. The loud sound of a lid banging shut gets extremely annoying, especially if someone is using the toilet at night. Further, accidentally banging the toilet seat closed can even damage your toilet over time. Therefore, we love that this Hibbent seat comes with a soft close lid that gradually closes with each use, avoiding a loud slam.
Fundamental Design
The Hibbent bidet seat has a fundamental design that easily fits in all kinds of bathrooms. The seat is designed in an elongated shape for maximum comfort that also ensures cleanliness and comfort. Simple and sleek, the Hibbent seat is sure to fit in seamlessly with your existing toilet and other bathroom accessories.
Dual Nozzles

Self-cleaning Option
Additionally, this bidet seat gives you the luxury of self-cleaning the nozzle itself, ensuring the nozzle is already clean without requiring you to add another step to your cleaning routine. This self-clean feature is a great option for those who prefer extra hygienic methods.

Bidet Seat Installation
Below we’ve listed the quick steps needed to install a new bidet seat. Before we start with the installation process for a typical bidet seat, let’s mention the tools that you will need:
- New bidet seat
- A screwdriver
- An adjustable wrench
- Towels and a bucket
- Access to a GFCI Outlet (or an extension cord if there is no outlet near your toilet)
It’s also worth noting that there are a few bidet options that will use your existing toilet seat instead of installing a brand new seat. If you’ve purchased one of these types of bidets, you won’t follow the below steps and should instead follow the package instructions.
1. Remove the Old Toilet Seat
Your old toilet seat will likely be attached with two mounting bolts to the rim. If the bolts have plastic covers, you will need to pop them out with a flat screwdriver. Note that you might need to reach underneath the bolts to keep them in place with an adjustable wrench.
When you remove the bolts, you should be able to detach the seat. Then, make sure to clean the toilet seat rim before installing the new bidet seat.
2. Cut off the Water Supply
The next thing to do is to cut off the water supply to your toilet. You will notice that there is a supply hose behind the toilet or near the tank which has a switch valve. Simply turn the valve all the way clockwise to shut off the supply. You can then flush the toilet to drain any remaining water and ensure that no new water flows into the toilet.
3. Install T-Valve to Supply Line
Since the bidet will have a separate water supply, you will need to install a T-valve to your existing supply line. Note that most components in this step are made of plastic, so make sure not to overtighten them or they might break.
Unscrew the supply line at the bottom of the tank, and attach the valve. There could be some water left in the hose, so make sure to have a bucket nearby and some towels. Then, attach the supply line to the T-valve so both the seat and your toilet will have water supply.
4. Mount the Bidet Seat
Your new seat should come with a plastic mounting plate. Position the plate on the rim by aligning it with the existing bolt holes. Place the bolts in the holes and tighten them with nuts below the rim. Then, slide the bidet onto the plate until it clicks.
5. Attach the Seat to the Water Line
Next, you should see that the bidet has its own hose for water supply. You will need to join this hose to the end of the T-valve not used for the toilet water supply. After connecting this hose to the T-valve, connect the other end to the seat. Next, open the toilet shutoff valve, which will fill both the tank and the bidet, and check for possible leaks.
6. Connect the Seat to a GFCI Outlet
Finally, if your bidet is electronic, you will need to connect it to a GFCI outlet. These outlets are commonly found in bathrooms as they are designed to prevent electrical shock. If there are no outlets nearby, you will need an extension cord to connect your seat to a source of power. And, that’s it! Your bidet seat is installed and ready to use.
